| Crushing:
The
strength check to crushing consists
in applying a preset load (for example
20 kg) to the neck of tested container,
by checking the good behaviour of
this one.
It makes it possible to validate homogeneity
and thickness of container walls.
Very much used in the field of extrusion
- blowing.
Opening
neck:
The
control of the neck diameter is carried
out by checking the free introduction
of a grooved roll into the collar
of tested container.
This makes it possible to reject the
containers having a defective shape
on their collar.
Self-checking:
A
calibrated air leakage is placed on
test circuit in order to simulate
a faulty container.
At the end of test cycle, the container
must be declared "Bad".
If such is not the case, the machine
announces the lack of tester sensitivity,
to carry out an adjustment of setting
(search time or instruction of pressure
variation).
These self-checking cycles are called,
either manually (push-button on control
panel), or automatically by programming
with regular intervals (for example,
after 5000 cycles).
